Even though it is difficult to find your way out of religion… it is still possible to do so. The first step is to understand the origin of the God (gods) story on earth. You need to know who God was then. And who God is today. - Without this understanding, you will fumble in the dark. Never certain. Never sure.

That door is not easy to open. After millennia of control over humanity, religion has mastered the skill of plugging, and quickly, every hole, every opening, every glimpse of enlightenment. With words and with swords.

Then, you will need to conquer the many fears that ”official” society has locked and keep locking into your mind. Society has ”normalized” in your body, mind, and soul an imaginary realm. What you are taught about nature, the world, and yourself reflects this fictitious ”empire of the unreal”.

(Awakening and maturing is never easy.)

But it can be accomplished through reflection, reading, and taking many walks in nature. (The nature under your feet.) And a willingness to know the real truth. The uneasiness, the fear, the reluctance that you feel – to even look at the information – attest to the power of the conditioning that you are under.

——–

You are a – natural – individual. Learn about it… while you are on earth.

(Living in reality has its benefits.)

I wish you could dive a little deeper into the “how”! To know that one can be free from religion is a positive thought, indeed, but to know how would be priceless.

How does one examine, understand, and conclude that religion is not necessary? Perhaps they can use testimonies from those who have been freed? Maybe they can read the right book (The God Delusion did it for me.)

Of course, free from religion is one thing, but free from God might be another separate thing to accomplish. Many people have no problem dropping religion, but God is a different story. I wonder why?

I never believed in God, but I pretended to. I wonder if many people are pretending, and are simply afraid to drop the idea?

We have a long way to go as humans!

jetson…thank you for your comment.

you hit the nail on the head. it easy to free yourself from religion… (there is so much incongruency) but not so of “God”. And it would make life “priceless” if we could know.

Facing “God” is an other cup of tea. Actually, it is not the knowing, which is difficult, but facing the answer squarely. That means facing the possibility that we are alone. And then wondering what is the meaning of life? What we are doing on earth? Who are we?

But there is an answer.

If you look on the side bar, or on “Home” page, you will see that I have a book for sale. – A Natural Philosophy – the answer is in it.

I have stopped pretending that a “God” exists. I know that there is none. And I feel good about being human on earth.

Hi friends

The humanity sometimes have been exploited by in the name of Religion, but not by the truthful ones; it were the fake one who did it. It is good if someone comes out of these so called Religionists.

The same way some Atheists do exploit the ordinary man in the name of humanity, in the name of peace, in the name of science; it is sheer exploitation, nothing more than that.

If one needs to come out of Religion syndrome; the same way one needs to come out of the Anti-Religion syndrome.

One has to be on the moderation;beware of the extremists/exploiters, please.

Thanks

Paarsurrey,

Thanks for your comment. – I am a bit concern with your statement ” the truthful one”. Most religious conflict occur because some one claims that their religion, their god, is the truthful one.

Control, submission, lead to expoitation. No fun (for the exploited). I have not seen too many atheists walking around saying: “submit to me because there is no god”. As to religious people… hum! This is not to say that non-believers cannot or do not exploit others. Many have and many will. – A layer of protection against exploitation is knowledge. Knowing who we are at depth… knowing – why – nature creates us free… but not really.

To me, believing in a creator,or God, does not necessarily depend on someone belonging to a religion. It is a feeling that is incorporated within every living thing that has the capacity to think, even though many may eventually end up denying it. Imagine for a moment that no religion ever originated on this planet. Do you sincerely believe, that no human would have ever thought of a creating power in that case?

What you are saying… I wanted to visit Washington (D.C), but went instead to Seatle Washington. It does not matter. They are the same because both sites contain the location “Washington” in them. – The question who or what is the creative force in the universe… is not subject to multiple choices answers either. It has one and only one answer. Many feel comfortable thinking that it does not matter if we are wrong. If there is no “God”, so what? Well it does… if you set out to visit (understand) a very specific place (enquiry).
