Most people undersand that the historical “God” is a white-bearded “person”. A “God/person” ruling humanity and the universe from a place named Heaven. But some people are ill-at-ease with this archaic “conception”. They want to modernize “God”.
The “new believers”… as they are not yet ready to accept that “nature” is a self creating matrix… and still needing to be close to “God”… why not bring “God” down to earth? As “God” is said to be everwhere, they conceive in their imagination a “God” particule, a “God” gene residing in all things. This God particule is inserted into all the forms of nature. From the largest to the smallest spect of “nature”. Then the “God” particule is revered as the power behind all things.
Through this twist of the imagination, they have not abandonned “Him”. And He has not forsaken them. As they walk in His domain, they can now interact directly with Him. He is truly everywhere.

But… they are still in a dream-trance.
“God” is tough endoctrination to get from under.
And who they really are remains unknown to them.

As to globalization… that is a very complex subject. And, sincerely, I have very limited understanding of it.
A few thoughts… globalization has been going on since the beginnings of civilization. Commerce, economies, technologies benefit from global trades.
But us, human beings… move about the world with the flags of our cultures, religions, ideologies, races, etnicity… in our hands? Wherever we stop, we plant them firmly in the ground.
Globalization would mean… one human being… one earth.
