im checking it out after ages :)

hope all is well inshaAllah, thanks for the comment.

through intellect we can discover what is in ourself, what is our purpose in life. i believe that faith and reason intersect. religion isnt blind faith, religion is the discovery of truth.

take care
peace be with you :)

Hi Maryam,

Hope you keep your eyes...seeing... for your whole journey on earth.

and who am i to argue Mohammed Iqbal-Poet of the East? - very inspiring. The first four questions' answer is: from the forces within.... the heat of your actions is generated... by the cosmic Enegy... which comprehends, envelops, and - is - all that exists... Nature is the creator. And all the forms within nature become the creator(s) of nature.

(what you and the poet of the east... feels... as originating from outside... others and i feels it as originating from within. What is important is that we feel - the force.)

hello
yes that was about me :)

i replied back there to your comments on my blog, thanks :)

"Do you know where your understanding mind comes from? Who gives the wisdom to the philosphers, and the inspiration to the prophets? Whence comes the soul and its acts and miracles? The force of our oratory is not your own, nor is the heat of you actions generated by you. All these bounties you receive from Nature, and Nature has been created by its Creator".

hello maryam,

everyone is fine at this end of the world.
(is your statement about glaucoma about you?)

god gives us life and death... we are powerless... but what if it was not like that?

life/ death exist. but as the underlying current/ principle of a self-creating nature?

a nature that exists in only one instant. this instant. all comes. all go. in this instant. like a profound breath... continuously life...death...life...death. (and much more)

not a past creator... but present creative matrix? - not a linear time... but an instantaneous eternity.

eh... take care!

hello there. i hope that you and your family and loved ones are in a state of great health inshaAllah(if God wills)

please accept my appologies for the belated reply, i was occupied with some intense reading, well i still am, but i had to come here and reply , so here i am :)

yes nature is intricate. all we see around us is impeccable and i wonder how the flowers blossom, how the leaves fall from the trees, how the grass grows on soil and how a tree grows etc, all prasies are for God

In 'The Battle for God' Karen Armstrong writes about Newton; what made Newton believe in the esistence of God and Monotheism was when he studied the Cosmos. According to him, there had to be somebody out there who was functioning the Cosmology, and subsequently the whole universe.

Even if we leave out the cosmos and the universe, and then just concentrate on the smartest creature on earth, 'man' we realise that there is someone out there who has created man, and not only that Someone has created man but aslo He(the Almighty) has provided, protected etc him.

Who gives us life and death? We are powerless creatures. Even Bill gates with all that money of his cannot prevent himself from getting Cancer or Aids (God Forbid). ill give you my example brother. i might have Glaucoma, its called 'silent killer' becasue glaucoma, deprives you of your eyesight gradually. i have no control over any weakness or sickness i may get. if i had that ability and power to control my bodys functions, i wouldve been like 'Superman' or a 'superior being' like 'Hank', but honestly speaking all that can never happen and thus i have to submit to human frialy.

Also, 80% of what the Quran has said more than 1400 years ago, has been proven and endorsed by science. the rest 20% includes matters such as the existence of heaven and hell etc, that too one day will be proved, even if it isnt proved, we know from an authentic source, 'the Quran' that it exists.

True, faith in God is blind, you do not see Him, yet you believe in His existence. But most of the time, even reflection, contemplation and observance of nature can bring one closer to God and make Him realise that there is someone behind all this universe, and the creation.

i would love to write more, but im sorry, i have to go somewhere. ill be back soon inshaAllah, and please go ahead with all the questions, etc, ive said it before, and im saying it again, im always here brother.
peace be with you.ill talk to you later. take care. for now ill leave you with the following link:

Maryam,

I came to your blog wanting to "feel" the heart of a believing "muslim". Not so much wanting to influence you toward atheism. Or not believing. I read a few of your posts... and will read more. (Actually, thank you for writing them.)

As to me, I find meaning in nature. Believe it or not, nature functions very well on its own. Nature is a self-generating matrix. Nature defines itself. The way it is. Completely. Nature speaks a language of Oneness and of division. We are an integral part of nature. We are what nature is. When we use - mind, senses, body, soul - to listen, nature reveals itself.

While the "values" underwriting our existence... comprehension, understanding, purpose, meaning - are (exist) exactly where we stand, religion(s) tell us to look outside of ourselves, outside of the universe... into the heavens. There, we are told, a "God" is to be found. For many, the search for this "God" (this image of a "God") becomes the quest, the purpose, and the meaning of their lives.

The depths of nature is limitless. It is vast enough to contain - within the human mind - a "God". It is large enough to spand millennia. Of Islam. Of Christianity. Of Hinduism. Of Judaism. Of Buddhism... etc.

But under the same - natural - light (and darkness), you and I live our present.

Hi there. i really like your views and you are really talented.

i couldnt really comment on your home page thats why i decided to comment here.
Man is in search of truth no doubt.i was so close to atheism but then God saved me and thanks to Him im in the process of discovering myself and i have realised my purpose in life; just like what you said before, "looking for our foundations"

Islam taught me a new meaning of life. let me reiterate the following from your homepage:
"As to your original self… you were taught that it was faulty, defective, sinful. You needed to be saved, changed. Your true ” I ” was set to: “Delete”."

In Islam man is not born with sin.He makes his own life by what he does and creates for himself and also by what he gets through all his struggles, achievements and the like. We Muslims believe in the Hereafter, and we submit ourselves to Allah. Thus His Will takes precedence over ours.

You also said that some sources pointing towards exixitence of God have been tampered. I agree. However there is this one source that has never been tampered with, it is the Holy Quran revealed by the same God who revealed the Torah and Gospel before it and only this time, He Himself has taken the responsibility of protecting it. therefore the Quran for more than 1400 years ago is the same book as it was revealed. [Please check the comments under this article

For more of my views, please visit my blog and especially check the articles filed under 'Why Allah'

If there is anything you want to ask me. please dont hesitate. You are brilliant and im lucky you came across my blog. i would love to read your book. Please also read my Book, the Quran.

Peace be with you :)
take care,
